I am a nonspeaking autistic writer, advocate, and teacher. I am perhaps better known as Danny With Words. I am passionate about helping my community. As a speller with a fluent Communication Regulation Partner since 2020, I have so much experience to share with newer spellers and their support teams. I am Danny's primary Communication Regulation Partner, collaborator, mentor, career manager, and older sister. Since gaining fluent communication together in 2020, Danny and I have created his new life and career; we've also learned so much about the emotional journey that many spellers & families experience with communication, and how to navigate the new, exciting, yet still very challenging reality of life with spelling. I am a certified Spelling to Communicate (S2C) practitioner working with 14+ families in southern California through my practice, Possibilities in Communication. Much of my teaching expertise comes from my other career as a researcher, practitioner/project manager, trainer, and project evaluator in marine conservation, in which I hold a PhD. I'm honored to be creating and teaching courses alongside my remarkable brother!
